The Cottage

 

2 Island Square is a Grade II listed 3 storey fisherman’s cottage built around 1850. The cottage has been sympathetically restored throughout to the highest standard, with great attention to detail, and a wealth of original features reinstated to protect its character. It has a light, contemporary interior, with quality furnishings and excellent amenities throughout.

 

The cottage has complimentary WiFi so you can stay in touch with what’s going on in the world. The addition of a log burner, gas central heating, and non-stop hot water, makes it also a perfect retreat for a Winter Break.

We welcome well behaved dogs by arrangement, to stay on the ground floor only. Guests are asked to bring towels and are reminded that the cottage is non smoking.

Bedrooms

There are 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms, and 2 luxurious bathrooms. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with double bed, and the other with full size bunk beds (suitable for adults), and a bathroom with large power shower and toilet.  On the top floor there is a further bedroom with double bed, and a bathroom complete with full size bath and toilet.

 

Flat screen digital TVs are in all bedrooms, and with luxury bed linen you will be guaranteed a comfortable stay.

Ground Floor

​

The ground floor is an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room.  It has a fully fitted kitchen with Neff oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine and an abundance of quality cookware and china.

​

 

There is a folding dining table with seating for 6 and being a family friendly cottage there is also a children’s table and chairs and dining sets provided.

The sitting area has 2 leather sofas and a large digital TV and DVD player.

Bathrooms

On the first floor there is a bathroom with large power shower and toilet, and on the top floor there’s a bathroom complete with full size bath and toilet so the cottage is perfectly suited to large families & groups.​
